Volunteer Coordinator – Tenpin SA – Volunteer

Tenpin SA in conjunction with our national body, Tenpin Bowling Australia (TBA), promotes tenpin bowling in South Australia through programs like Bowl Patrol and Sporting Schools programs, the development and coaching of junior, youth and adult bowlers and the running of local and state championships.

Tenpin SA is seeking expression of interest from suitably qualified persons to undertake the role of Volunteer Coordinator to work with the Board to increase the number of volunteers and participation of bowlers in SA. This position is also a volunteer position.

If you have a track record in developing a volunteer base or experience in this area we would love to hear from you. In providing your expression of interest please include a broad outline of the experience you would bring to this role.

Club Support Officer – Squash SA – Full Time Equivalent

Squash SA is looking to employ a Club Support Officer who will be responsible for providing affiliated clubs and venues with the resources, structures and knowledge required to form or rebuild strong volunteer-based committees and improve governance practices at club level.

Working under the guidance of the General Manager and the Board of Directors, the Club Support Officer will resource, educate and strengthen club committees to enable them to be more efficient and effective in administering our sports in our affiliated clubs and venues.

Based at our office in the Tonsley Innovation District, The Club Support Officer will also be required to travel regularly to reginal affiliated clubs.  The incumbent will also occasionally be required to work some weekends and evenings. 
Reporting to the General Manager, key responsibilities are:

  • Create systems and resources to empower club committees to improve governance practices and standards
  • Engage with club and community members to encourage people to join committees
  • Work with squash clubs/venues to create new competitions/participation products
  • Engage with local councils to help build or improve relationships with squash clubs
  • Work with local coaches and committee members to help improve awareness of, and implementation of Squash SA, Squash Australia and National Integrity Framework policies

The successful applicant will ideally be able to bring extensive experience from volunteering in sporting committees at club level.  The position requires patience, passion for sport, a driver’s license, efficient use of Microsoft programs and common sporting web-based applications plus high-level Interpersonal communication, time management and organisational skills. There is a degree of flexibility in the role, however it is structured to be a 2-day per week (0.4 FTE) position.

Emerging Athlete Academy Lead Coach – Rowing SA – Part Time

The Emerging Athlete Academy exists to identify, support and develop talented U19 and U21 rowers (able and para) to reach their potential. Equipping them with the tools to achieve success in rowing both nationally and internationally. It aims to provide education, opportunity and community for athletes, coaches, and parents. The Academy provides a structured pathway for these emerging athletes into existing SASI and Rowing Australia Performance Pathways.
