Olympian announced as new Sport SA President
Two-time Olympian, Pat Mickan OLY will today be announced as the new Sport SA President. Mickan, who also represented the Opals at three World Championships will be the first female President in the Federations thirty-two-year history.

New funding for Sport SA Hall of Fame
The state government is today announcing a new three-year funding commitment for the Sport SA Hall of Fame, with a sponsored gallery space set to showcase Hall of Fame entrants.

Gender Equity in Sport – But Not for All
Sport SA welcomes the Federal Government’s stance on gender equity in sport and the new national policy to increase the number of women in key decision-making roles. We also acknowledge the fantastic efforts of South Australian Sporting Organisations with 94% of organisations already meeting State Government targets of 40% female representation on boards.
