Senior Tennis Coach – PART TIME

Tennis World Millswood is a facility offering a range of programs that combines tennis, fitness and fun. The development of grassroots through to elite level coaching programs is essential for the long-term participation objectives of Tennis World. These are to be complimented with Cardio Tennis and Social Leagues to engage players more regularly and create a positive environment. We are looking for a talented Senior Coach to join Tennis World in Adelaide (Millswood) on a casual basis (approximately 15 hours per week – with potential to increase).

About the role

Reporting to the Head Coach, Tennis World Millswood, you will:

  • Aim to promote a quality and enriching coaching experience for each student, each lesson.
  • Actively involve all students on court and identify areas or improvement or skill development.
  • Deliver quality programs and performance outcomes across a range of Tennis World Programs (Schools Programming, Holiday Camps, Tennis Hot Shots, Cardio Tennis etc).
  • Offer recommendations to support the overall wellbeing of the commercial viability of Tennis World.
  • Work closely with junior coaches to grow and develop their coaching abilities.
  • Maintain and improve standards of professionalism and excellence that reflect a high-performance culture.

About you

What you will bring to the role:

  • Strong knowledge of best practice coaching, both in Australian & Overseas
  • Proven experience working with all ages and abilities (e.g. pre-schoolers through to adults)
  • Previous delivery experience within Tennis Australia program pathway is preferred
  • Experience in delivering and setting up full time school-based programs is preferred
  • Highly effective organisational and communication skills with the ability to be creative in program creation and implementation
  • Experience in team leadership, staff management, and ability to create an inclusive environment
  • Tennis Club Professional Coach Qualification (preferred)
  • Tennis Australia Coach Membership and first aid certification is required
  • You must hold (or be willing to obtain) a current Police Check and Woking with Children Check
