Hockey SA is the peak body representing the game of hockey in South Australia. Hockey SA is made up from metropolitan and regional associations and represents almost 7000 members. Hockey SA members range from the age of 5 – 75 with strong representation across age, gender and all abilities. 

About the Role

Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer, the Administration Executive will be responsible for managing administrative tasks, coordinating programmes, and facilitating effective communication within the organisation and with external stakeholders. This position requires a proactive, very organised individual with exceptional administrative and interpersonal skills.  

Key Accountabilities 

  • Provide comprehensive administrative support to the CEO and senior management team, including calendar management, meeting coordination, and travel arrangements.
  • Where required support the CEO and senior management team with the collation of information for the Hockey SA Board, Government and Affiliates. 
  • Coordinate the implementation and management of key programmes, including state teams logistics and pathway programme support. 
  • Support the planning, execution, and evaluation of state team events, ensuring logistical requirements are met and participants are supported throughout the process.
  • Coordinate travel arrangements and uniform logistics for the Adelaide Fire team, ensuring smooth coordination of all aspects related to their participation in competitions and events.
  • Oversee the day-to-day operations of the State Hockey Centre.
  • First point of contact for all Facilities related issues and enquiries.
  • Coordinate all bookings including pitch hire, venue hire, internal meetings, events and activities. 
  • Assist in the preparation and monitoring of different departmental budgets, processing invoices, and reconciling financial records to ensure accuracy and compliance with organisational policies.

Remuneration

Hockey South Australia will offer a $65,000 – $75,000 per annum salary + superannuation dependent upon the successful applicant’s skills and experience.

Experience, Skills and Attributes

  • Proven experience in an administrative role, preferably in a sports organisation or similar environment.
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with meticulous attention to detail and the ability to convey complex information clearly and concisely.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant software applications.
  • Team focused with an ability to work independently.
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced, dynamic work environment.
  • Occasional weekend work will be required.
