Mary Ormsby OAM was a legendary Australian lawn bowls player who dominated the sport for over three decades.

She represented Australia in multiple World Championships, winning medals in various events, including a gold medal in the 1967 Test Series in South Africa. Ormsby’s crowning achievement came in 1969 when she became the only person to win all three Australian National Bowls Championships – singles, pairs, and fours – in the same year. Her illustrious career included six State Singles titles, four State Pairs titles, and two State Fours titles.

Ormsby represented South Australia 167 times and served as a State Selector for 29 consecutive years. At the club level, she won 14 singles titles and 8 pairs titles at Grange Bowls Club.
