From 1979 to 1983, the South Australian representative netball team dominated on the national stage. One of the greatest dynasties in SA netball, the side were crowned Elix Shield National Champions five years in a row. The team featured nine Australian Diamonds and one Netball Australia Hall of Fame inductee in Julie Francou. Diamond #53 Bronwyn Roberts coached the side to glory in 1979 and 1980 before SA netball icon and Adelaide Thunderbirds premiership coach Marg Angove took the reins for the remaining three championships.
