Motorcycling Australia (MA) is looking for an enthusiastic Operations Co-ordinator to join the Motorcycling South Australia (MSA) office. As a key player in the South Australian branch of the National Sporting Organisation you will have the opportunity to develop the sport at Club and State level.

MA is the peak body for motorcycle sport in Australia, recognized by the Australian Sports Commission (SportAus) and is an affiliated federation of the Federation Internationale de Motocyclisme (FIM); the world governing body for motorcycle sport.

A non for-profit organization, MA has over 30,000 annual license holders and has a participation of around 250,000 per annum.

  • Oversee daily operations of the MSA office and management of a small but dedicated team, including third party contractors.
  • Governance of the sport and event processes
  • Contribute to short and long-term organizational planning and strategy of MSA in consultation with the MSA board
  • Administer the objectives of the MSA strategic plan


Manage MSA office operations and processes

  • Delivery of key milestones within operational plans
  • Formulate performance standards and quality assurance processes that clarify individual staff member outputs and quality expectations
  • Direct and support departmental staff to ensure that agreed targets are reached and where appropriate, exceeded
  • Attend periodic meetings with MA management to update MSA status and requirements
  • Promote a culture of high performance and continuous improvement

Sport Governance and event processes

  • Oversee the promotion and delivery of MSA events and ensure that each event meets the expected standards of excellence
  • Liaise with primary stakeholders (promoters, sponsors, etc) for all MSA events. Maintain collaborative working efforts and assist with effective and efficient issue resolution
  • Ensure MSA event operations comply with current legislation and relevant sporting codes and policies, MA, FIM, ASADA etc
  • Provide regular reports to the MA CEO on event-related issues of importance

Officials training and management 

  • Organise delivery of officials training
  • Manage officials’ accreditations
  • Chair officials review board

Track Licensing

  • Manage MSA venue licensing
  • Schedule circuit inspections, review inspection reports and works programs, issue track licenses.


  • Industry liaison 
  • Manage operational issues within the industry

  • Facilitate complaints and protests as per MSA & MA judicial processes
